It distorts how you ‘hold’ things, if you are not held.

If when we’re very young we’re not held in a way that helps us to feel safe, loved and cared for by the people close to us then it can create distortions in the way we hold things for ourselves as we grow up – we learn to suppress, repress, lock away, block off and compartmentalise….
